Movement functions were carefully selected for maximum child appeal. The right arm waves, executing one complete greeting cycle. The left hand shakes a traditional rattle drum in shorter, more frequent motions that create pleasant clicking sounds. The movements are powered by quiet, low-energy motors concealed within the torso, with all wiring routed internally down to the base.

Marketing effectiveness was prioritized throughout development. The astronaut's size makes it visible from sidewalk distance without overwhelming the storefront. The rattle drum adds nostalgic charm that resonates with both children and parents, while the waving gesture creates approachable, non-threatening interaction.
